Magic-Cat Sylvia![]() Sylvia was my Number One Cat. I like to think of her as A Dog In a Cat Suit, because she was always waiting for me and happy to see me. She usually came when called! For the first fourteen years that we've been together she would always sleep next to my shoulder, and she would be the first thing I saw in the morning when I woke up. Often, she was also the one who woke me up; to make sure the cats were fed on time (LOL). Sylvia was discovered living under a junk car in my mother-in-law Helen's back yard. Helen told me she had found a stray kitten and tried to feed it, but the animal refused to come out from under the car. I crawled underneath the car and saw this magnificent feline staring back at me. "Hello," I said, "You are a pretty girl." (the hips gave it away) "I like pretty kitties," I cooed to her. "Do you want to be my kitty?" I asked. As I was crawling out from under the car, Sylvia was edging closer to me. She hopped out and started rubbing against my legs, meowing her delight to accept my offer. Helen was amazed, after trying for days to coax her out of her rusting sancuary. As it was with Ceecee, this was Love At First Sight. I am grateful every day for the unconditional love I receive from my Magic-Cats, and for the luck that led to our meeting. Sadly, Sylvia died Nov. 16, 2008 at the tender age of 20 years. All Of My Magic-Cats Have Been Spayed or Neutered.
